He has born to Shri. B S Yediyurappa and Smt. Maithradevi couple at Shikaripura, which is on the bank of Kumudwati River in Shimoga.

1993 ರಲ್ಲಿ, ಕುವೆಂಪು ವಿಶ್ವವಿದ್ಯಾಲಯದ ಸೆನೆಟ್ ಮೆಂಬರ್ ಆಗಿ ಆಯ್ಕೆ. ಪ್ರಗತಿಪರ ಕೃಷಿಕರಾಗಿ ಶಿಕಾರಿಪುರ ತಾಲ್ಲೂಕಿನಲ್ಲಿ, ಕೃಷಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ನೀರಿನ ಮಿತ ಬಳಕೆ, ನೈಸರ್ಗಿಕ ಕೃಷಿಯಂತಹ ನವೀನ ಕ್ರಮಗಳನ್ನು ಕೈಗೊಂಡಿದ್ದಾರೆ.
1997 ರಲ್ಲಿ ಗದಗ ಜಿಲ್ಲೆಯವರಾದ ಶ್ರೀಮತಿ ತೇಜಸ್ವಿನಿ ಇವರೊಂದಿಗೆ ವಿವಾಹ, ಸುಭಾಷ್ ಹಾಗೂ ಭಗತ್ ಎಂಬ ಇಬ್ಬರು ಮಕ್ಕಳು.

1993, he was elected as the Senate Member of the Kuvempu University. As a progressive farmer, in Shikaripura taluk he has tried innovative methods of farming like minimum use of water and nature- friendly farming
1997, he married Smt. Tejaswini of Gadag district with two children, Subhash and Bhagat.

1999 ರಿಂದ ಶ್ರೀಮತಿ ಗಂಗಮ್ಮ ವೀರಭದ್ರಶಾಸ್ತಿç ಸ್ಮಾರಕ ಟ್ರಸ್ಟ (ರಿ) ಹಾಗೂ ಸ್ವಾಮಿ ವಿವೇಕಾನಂದ ವಿದ್ಯಾಸಂಸ್ಥೆ ಶಿಕಾರಿಪುರ ಈ ಸಂಸ್ಥೆಗಳ ಮ್ಯಾನೆಜಿಂಗ್ ಟ್ರಸ್ಟಿ ಹಾಗೂ ಕಾರ್ಯದರ್ಶಿಗಳಾಗಿ ಪ್ರಾಥಮಿಕ ಶಿಕ್ಷಣ/ ಪ್ರೌಢಶಿಕ್ಷಣ/ಪದವಿಪೂರ್ವ ಶಿಕ್ಷಣ/ಡಿಎಡ್ ಕಾಲೇಜು/ಬಿಎಡ್ ಕಾಲೇಜು/ ನರ್ಸಿಂಗ್ ಕಾಲೇಜುಗಳನ್ನು ನಡೆಸುವುದರ ಮುಖಾಂತರ ಗುಣಮಟ್ಟದ ಶಿಕ್ಷಣವನ್ನು ನೀಡುತ್ತಾ ಯಶಸ್ವಿಯಾಗಿ ನಡೆಯುತ್ತಿದೆ.

Since 1999, as the Managing Trustee and Secretary of Smt. Gangamma Veerabhadrashasthri Memorial Trust (R) and Swami Vivekananda Education Institute of Shikaripura, he is contributing towards the quality education through primary education / high school education/ undergraduate / D.Ed college / Nursing colleges.

2007 ರಲ್ಲಿ ಪ್ರಥಮ ಬಾರಿಗೆ ರಾಜಕೀಯ ಕ್ಷೇತ್ರವನ್ನು ಪ್ರವೇಶಿಸಿ ಶಿಕಾರಿಪುರ ದೊಡ್ಡಪೇಟೆಯ ಪುರಸಭಾ ಸದಸ್ಯರಾಗಿ ಆಯ್ಕೆ.
2008 ರಲ್ಲಿ ಶಿವಮೊಗ್ಗದಲ್ಲಿ ರಾಜ್ಯದ ಪ್ರತಿಷ್ಟಿತ ಶಿಕ್ಷಣ ಸಂಸ್ಥೆಯಾದ ಪ್ರೇರಣಾ ಎಜುಕೇಷನಲ್ ಅಂಡ್ ಸೋಷಿಯಲ್ ಟ್ರಸ್ಟನ ಮೂಲಕ ಪಿಇಎಸ್ ಇಂಜಿನಿಯರಿಂಗ್ ಕಾಲೇಜನ್ನು ಪ್ರಾರಂಭಿಸಿ ತನ್ಮೂಲಕ ಪಿಯು ಕಾಲೇಜು, ಬಿಬಿಎಂ ಹಾಗೂ ಎಂಬಿಎ ಕಾಲೇಜುಗಳ ಮ್ಯಾನೆಜಿಂಗ್ ಟ್ರಸ್ಟಿ ಆಗಿ ಕಾರ್ಯ ನಿರ್ವಹಣೆ.
2008 ರಲ್ಲಿ ಶಿಕಾರಿಪುರ ಪಟ್ಟಣದಲ್ಲಿ ಪ್ರತಿಷ್ಟಿತ ಸಿಬಿಎಸ್‌ಇ ಶಿಕ್ಷಣ ಸಂಸ್ಥೆಯನ್ನು ಪ್ರಾರಂಭಿಸಿ ಪ್ರಾಥಮಿಕ/ಪ್ರೌಢ ಶಿಕ್ಷಣವನ್ನು ನೀಡಲಾಗುತ್ತಿದೆ.

In 2007, entered the political field for the first time and was elected as a Municipal Corporator of Doddapete of Shikaripura.
In 2008, he started the PES Engineering College through Prerana Educational and Social Trust, one of the state's prestigious educational institutes. With this, he served as the Managing Trustee of PU College, BBM and MBA Colleges.
In the year 2008, he established the prestigious CBSE institute in Shikaripura town to offer primary and high school education.

2009 ರಲ್ಲಿ ಶಿವಮೊಗ್ಗ ನಗರದಲ್ಲಿ ನಡೆದ ರಾಜ್ಯ ಮಟ್ಟದ ಸಮಾವೇಶಗಳಾದ ಸಹಕಾರಿ ಸಮಾವೇಶ ಹಾಗೂ ವಿವಿಧ ಸಮಾಜಗಳ ಸಮಾವೇಶಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಸಕ್ರಿಯವಾಗಿ ಪಾಲ್ಗೂಳ್ಳುವಿಕೆ.
2009 ರ ಮೇ ತಿಂಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ನಡೆದ 15ನೇ ಲೋಕಸಭಾ ಚುನಾವಣೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರ ರಾಜಕೀಯಕ್ಕೆ ಪ್ರವೇಶ ಮಾಡಿ, ಕರ್ನಾಟಕ ರಾಜ್ಯದ ಮಾಜಿ ಮುಖ್ಯ ಮಂತ್ರಿಗಳಾದ ಸನ್ಮಾನ್ಯ ಶ್ರೀ ಎಸ್. ಬಂಗಾರಪ್ಪರವರ ವಿರುದ್ದ ಶಿವಮೊಗ್ಗ ಲೋಕಸಭಾ ಕ್ಷೇತ್ರದ ಅಭ್ಯರ್ಥಿಯಾಗಿ ಬಹುಮತದಿಂದ ಆಯ್ಕೆ.

In 2009, he actively participated in state-level conferences, cooperative conventions, and conferences held by various social groups of people.
In May 2009, he entered the national politics with the 15th Lok Sabha election. He won against the former chief minister of Karnataka to become a member of Parliament for the first time from Shimoga constituency.

2014 ರಲ್ಲಿ ಶಿಕಾರಿಪುರ ವಿಧಾನ ಸಭಾ ಸದಸ್ಯರಾಗಿ ಶಿಕಾರಿಪುರ ವಿಧಾನಸಭೆಯ ಉಪ ಚುನಾವಣೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಕಾಂಗ್ರೇಸ್‌ನ ಶ್ರೀ ಎಸ್. ಶಾಂತವೀರಪ್ಪಗೌಡರ ವಿರುದ್ದ ಜಯಗಳಿಸಿ ಆಯ್ಕೆ

In 2014, he became a member of legislative assembly by defeating Congress candidate Shri S.Shanthaveerappa in the by-election from Shikaripura.

2018ರ ನವೆಂಬರ್‌ನಲ್ಲಿ ಶಿವಮೊಗ್ಗ ಲೋಕಸಭಾ ಉಪ ಚುನಾವಣೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಜನತಾದಳದ ಶ್ರೀ ಎಸ್. ಮಧುಬಂಗಾರಪ್ಪರವರ ವಿರುದ್ಧ ಬಹುಮತದಿಂದ ಆಯ್ಕೆಯಾಗಿ 16ನೇ ಲೋಕಸಭೆಗೆ ಮರು ಪ್ರವೇಶ.
2019ರಲ್ಲಿ ನಡೆದ 17ನೇ ಲೋಕಸಭೆ ಸಾರ್ವತ್ರಿಕ ಚುನಾವಣೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಜನತಾದಳದ ಶ್ರೀ ಎಸ್.ಮಧು ಬಂಗಾರಪ್ಪರವರ ವಿರುದ್ದ ಬಹುಮತದಿಂದ ಆಯ್ಕೆ.

In November 2018, he re-entered the 16th Lok Sabha with a majority against Janatha Dal candidate Shri S. Madhu Bangarappa in a by-election from Shimoga constituency.
In 2019, he entered the 17th Lok Sabha by a majority against Mr. S. Madhu Bangarappa of the Janata Dal in the general elections.
